Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not keep or record those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or direct message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It stays within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, server and analytics systems may collect basic technical information about the visit:
- Page-view times and time spent on a page
- Device type and operating system
- Referring website, when one is available
- Browser type and version
- IP address assigned to the device
- Pages visited during the session
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored on a visitor's device. They and analytics services help create aggregate traffic measures, such as frequently viewed pages and common exit points. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some functions behave.

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site identifies routes to Obion County Sheriff's Office files, Circuit and General Sessions court records, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation criminal history, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files. Public records obtained from an Obion County office remain governed by the Tennessee Public Records Act, TCA §§10-7-501 et seq., and any applicable exception. Registry publication and misuse are separately governed by TCA §40-39-201 et seq.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies govern the information submitted to them, and they choose their own retention and sharing rules. We do not control those practices. Read the relevant provider policy before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Obion County government, sheriff, Tennessee courts, TBI, TDOC, legal resources, or outside search tools. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review them before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be received by:
- Analytics vendors measuring site performance and traffic
- Search providers processing a query sent through their tool
- Government or law enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
- Advertising networks placing ads on the pages
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected data. No internet system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under eighteen. A verified request concerning a minor's submitted data will be addressed by deleting that information.

Depending on residency and legal coverage, the Tennessee Information Protection Act, TCA §§47-18-3301 et seq., and other applicable privacy or consumer-protection law may provide rights concerning personal data. Requests may include:
